GKA were commissioned by Knight Frank to develop an online data centre for their
Hotel Investment department. The brief was to replace their existing method of having
an interested party sign a confidentiality agreement via fax before sending out
sensitive information via cd-rom, which could be passed around with no security.
GKA developed a web application that allowed the client to sign a legally binding
confidentiality agreement online that was then approved by a member of staff at
a click of a button. Once approved the client would automatically receive a link
and login details to a secure online data room. The approved user’s activity could
then be monitored by a control panel where their potential interest could be measured
by visits and document downloads. This also allowed Knight Frank to block anyone
they thought were abusing the system.
